A single malt characterized by a robust and meaty profile, adhering to traditional production methods. Distinctive with its malt sweetness and complex sulfurous aroma.

The unorthodox character of sulfur and fruit brought by traditional worm tubs

Craigellachie is a distinctive malt turning its back on the mainstream Speyside style, often called the "bad boy" of the region. While many distilleries have introduced modern cooling equipment, it stubbornly continues to use traditional "worm tubs" (tub-and-worm condensers), creating a heavy and meaty spirit quality.

Combined with the flavor of malt dried via oil heating, subtle nuances of gunpowder and sulfur rise from the glass alongside the rich sweetness of tropical fruits like pineapple, baked apples, and toffee. The deliberate commitment to bottling at the prime number "13 years" is also an expression of this distillery's rebellious spirit.

On nights when you want to taste a slightly different, connoisseur-level complex malt, please visit "bar83rd", a hidden-gem bar in Kannai, Yokohama. In an adult space featuring terrace seats with a night view and spacious sofa seats, we will guide you to your own new whisky experience.
