A pure malt whisky harmonizing unblended whiskies from Yoichi and Miyagikyo. A well-crafted glass featuring a fresh aroma, smooth mouthfeel, and a solid malty richness.

A brilliant and smooth pure malt masterpiece woven by two distilleries

Bearing the name of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky, 'Taketsuru' is a point of pride for Nikka Whisky. It is a pure malt whisky that brilliantly harmonizes unaged whiskies from two distilleries with distinct characters: the robust and smoky Yoichi malt and the flamboyant, fruity Miyagikyo malt.

Bringing the glass close releases pleasant, fresh aromas of green apple and pear, accompanied by sweet and soft oak notes. On the palate, a smooth and luscious mouthfeel is complemented by a solid malt richness and a faint peaty finish. It is an exceptionally well-crafted dram whose balance remains intact regardless of how it is served.

Although it has become a scarce entity due to the recent Japanese whisky boom, 'bar83rd' in Bashamichi, Yokohama, strives to maintain stock as much as possible. In an adult private space overlooking the night view, please thoroughly relish this supreme pure malt that showcases the brilliance of Japanese craftsmanship.
